TPD's winning streak came to an end last week. He had major blow ups on his bench, as for the first time all year he made poor managerial decisions on gameday. Having his opposition's TE blow up for 41 points didn't help matters either. Last week had more to do with TPD beating himself rather than his opponent beating him. Hopes remain high within the organization. Conner's miraculous season will have a chance to continue now that he is the guy for the rest of the season in Pittsburgh's backfield, while Cooks takes on an expanded role after an injury to Kupp. This team perhaps has the most potent fire power, going three deep at both RB and WR. Now is the time for TPD to go on a classic TPD late season run.
This week is crucial in the east division. A win would put TPD in great position to secure a 6th playoff appearance in the 7 year history of the MFFL. It starts at the top with Wilson dueling on Thursday Night. Everyone keeps talking about the demise of Wilson but TPD knows better. He will be a key contributor down the stretch for this team, even if he falls victim to classic TPD poor circumstance on Thursday Night. Brown and Beckham continue to produce at elite levels, while also leaving potential for blow up weeks down the stretch, as neither has put up unrepeatable performances to this point like so many of TPD's opposition has. McCaffrey has been on a tear recently and looks to continue his stellar season as TPD's electric pulse. Conner's performance this season has already made him a TPD fan favorite, especially considering he has never played for any other team in this league. If he were to continue his dominant play down the stretch, knowing now that the job is his and his alone, it would make him a bonafide TPD legend. That type of opportunity is there for Conner, and based on what he has done when given similar opportunities previously, expect nothing short of greatness moving forward. Cooks remains arguably the best flex play in the league. Jones will get play at TE for TPD this week, hoping to make his stay longer than a week, like most TE's this year for TPD. Even with the loss last week TPD loves this team. It is up to him to put them in the best position to win. If he can do that, he is confident the boys will come through strong, in pursuit of a third straight championship.
Always in pursuit is the NASTY. The NASTY was ready to eat last week but TPD misguidedly held it in its cage. Not so will be the case for this week. It will devour once more and set the stage for a late season surge. Quake with fear ye mortal fools, the NASTY points to you.
Player Profile: Brandin Cooks
Cooks was stupidly benched last week and he showed TPD why he should never bench a player with such explosive might. Cooks takes on a more prominent role for the Rams offense and the results will be awe inspiring. TPD is waiting for the awesome will of such stud driven power to align and play together as one. It is being saved for the grandest of stages, but this week Cooks will shine regardless, his NASTY side on full display for all to see. A NASTY performance that will have encore showings for the rest of the season. Sprint to the finish Brandin, reveal your NASTY!
