Five straight wins has TPD tied for the lead in the East division, only bested by a 12 point tie breaker. This week TPD is matched up against the team currently ahead of him in the East, setting the stage for an epic battle. The roster beasted last week scoring the most points in the league with 165. TPD is averaging a robust 146 points per game, scoring below 130 just once. The proclamations of the previous couple weeks are playing out in unison on the field with TPD backing it up each week. It's been a terrific season so far for this franchise, a stark contrast from the grinding of the last two championship seasons. A win this week would continue it, though the challenge is potent.

The starting lineup this week has an ominous challenge to overcome. Three of TPD's studs are playing on Thursday night, a night that has consistently tormented the mind and soul of this franchise and it's fans. A similar circumstance was seen two years ago when TPD was playing in a must win divisional game late in the season with two studs going on Thursday night. They combined for 65 points in a massive victory, a victory that was the catalyst for the destruction TPD would dish out in route to a championship. Anything close to that night would signal positivity for this franchise moving forward. Rivers is back in the SL ready to sling it for TPD once more. Brown plays on Thursday night with uncertainty after a reckless driving ticket issued this morning. Beckham is back form bye and ready to continue his strong season. Even amongst the chaos in New York Beckham has remained a stud performer. McCaffrey goes on Thursday in a tough match-up, a week after crushing it after being labeled the player profile of the week. James Conner, the toughness and soul of this team, looks to continue his unbelievable play on Thursday as well. Uzomah scored zero points in TPD's SL the last time he was here, but without Green the Bengals may need him more, and TPD will roll the dice in a somewhat shocking start. The flex will be decided come gameday, with players like Cooks, Chubb, and Scantling all vying for the spot. The defense will be the Jets as they have a tasty match-up against the Bills, though nothing is certain in the NFL. Elliott gets a spot start at kicker with Tucker on bye. Tucker performed the way TPD wanted after trading for him last week, and he hopes Tucker is a rare difference making kicker the rest of the way. TPD likes the depth he has acquired on the bench, and now that the trade deadline has passed he will look to the bench often for support.

Always in support of TPD is the NASTY. After 5 straight wins the NASTY yearns for even more. This game is crucial for eastern supremacy, though not a must win by nature. No matter the outcome TPD is unyielding, ever ready for adversity. The pain endured over the last two seasons crafted two championships, and now it has revealed the most terrifying form of TPD ever, one that can pretty much overcome any scenario and put his team in the best position to win regardless of the misguided herd mentality veil. For what is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger. All is revealed.

Player Profile: Philip Rivers
Rivers has scored at least two touchdowns in every game this season. His consistency is a security blanket for a player with weapons capable of exploding at any time. In a week with multiple poor circumstances, TPD will need River's consistency and more if hopes of a victory are to be upheld. Unleash the NASTY Philip, your explosion time has come. NASTY bomb!
