TPD played well a week ago but came away with a loss. He is averaging 155 points per game in his first two match-ups but once again deals with a beast of a schedule to start the year. It's a trend following TPD for three straight seasons. Dating back to 2015, during the first 8 weeks of the season, teams are averaging a devastating 127 points per game against him. TPD's been able to manage the storm each of the last two seasons, but a change in weather patterns would be a welcomed sight for this franchise. As it is, no other manager is as prepared for such circumstance. A fact proven year after year.

With such success and savvy roster maneuvering, you would think less doubt would surround this manager and franchise. It's only week 2, but many have already written off some big named TPD players like, Johnson, Baldwin, and Henry. A foolish proposition in the eyes of TPD, but patience is a virtue and his validation will have to come later in the year, as it has each of the last two seasons. TPD is confident with the team's current construction, and a few improving injuries and positive touchdown regression will eventually remind everyone of the awesome might that is TPD and prove how foolish it is to ever doubt this franchise's decision making.

Week 3 brings about a few key changes to the starting lineup, one of which being a top 5 pick in this year's MFFL draft. TPD welcomes David Johnson to the franchise. One of the few players in the league not to have spent time with this juggernaut franchise, many remember the day in 2016 when Johnson was a part of TPD's squad for a resounding 30 minutes, before being traded again for a major haul in what would be a championship finish for TPD. Things are different this time around as Johnson looks to have staying power for this roster. He solidifies the weakest link of TPD's roster, the RB depth, and adds a stud name to an already decorated lineup of stars. Ryan Fitzpatrick will be inserted into the starting lineup after a historical start to the season. The ride may not be long, but a strong performance in week 3 may be the spring board to make Fitzpatrick a sneaky great pick up for many weeks to come. Michael Thomas has now caught more balls in the first two weeks of a season than any other player in history. It could be a special season for the perennial TPD titan. Beckham looks to bounce back after a rough game. Lamar Miller is 4th in the league in yards and is averaging 4.88 yards per carry to start the season. Once he starts scoring touchdowns many will see just how good he's been to start this season. James Conner played in a game last week with the worst possible game script for a RB...he still finished top 10 at the position for the week. Guys like Henry, Jones, and Funchess will be on the bench, but TPD is confident their play will be recognized from a far, and reshape certain misperceptions about their season long outlook.

Even with the loss a week ago, the NASTY was on full display. It will turn doubt into awe in week 3 and remind opponents how fleeting a thought doubting this team is. The newly cemented HCJ Park will be decorated with NASTY ooze all over the pristine new grounds and architecture.

Player Profile: David Johnson
How often do you get to a acquire a top 5 pick at a discount? Regardless of the outcome, all understand the potential of such a move and know it's worth the risk. Johnson will thrive in his new role atop TPD's RB depth chart. It's an opportunity he's been waiting for ever since the brief stay here tin 2016. He's out to prove this time will be different, by becoming yet another heartbeat of a team pulsating with pride and golden accomplishment. There is simply no way to describe or prepare for the NASTY showing Johnson will unleash in week 3. Holy NASTY!
