TPD's season began with a bang. He scored 163 points in a week one comeback after being down big after Thursday night. It was a tremendous start to the season and TPD's 2nd most points scored ever in week one. He was led by the unbelievable performances of James Conner and Michael Thomas as well as strong games from Wilson, Beckham, and Baltimore D. It was a fitting way to begin the season after back to back championships, but the enjoyment won't last long as TPD is faced with another difficult challenge in week 2.
After such a strong start most, if not all, managers would struggle to touch their starting lineup, let alone make trades and free agent pick ups. But TPD was back to his old ways this week making a major splash on the trade market acquiring A.J. Green. He gave up Wilson, Kupp, Cooper, and Peterson, but he is happy with the return of perennial TPD players in Green and Rivers. It is a power move and one that could shape the fortunes of TPD's season before the bulk of it even begins. TPD will turn the page quickly and welcome the new faces fervently by immediately placing them in the starting lineup. Rivers travels to the east coast for a 1:00pm game, but it is against perhaps the worst team in the league. Beckham proved last week that he is still a stud by dismantling the elite Jags defense. Thomas will try to emulate his legendary week one performance and prove he is a truly elite player for this franchise. Conner is fresh off his own beast game and now is at home against a worse defense. The importance of the Conner pick up cannot be understated. Green has a quick turnaround after joining TPD's lineup, with a Thursday night match-up against a tough defense. TPD will mess around with his TE position until he finds a suitable consistent player. James white is clamoring to enter the starting lineup but it may be difficult with Conner and Miller gaining the majority of touches for their respective teams. TPD will insert Washington on defense in what he believes is a sneaky good start. It will be tough to match last week's production but the fire power is ever present and potent. TPD hopes to keep the momentum rolling. Each of the last two seasons have been an absolute grind just to make the playoffs, but a win in week 2 will go a long way in having a dominant TPD regular season of old.
The NASTY needed no warm up and absolutely annihilated whatever was in front of it on Sunday. Traveling to the ever dangerous GDP it will have to keep its wits about it. But the NASTY from Dynasty always travels well, and in style. It will feast once more.
Player Profile: Odell Beckham Jr
OBJ answered pretty much every question left unanswered last week. He torched Jaelen Ramsey to the tune of 11 catches for 111 yards. It was wonderful to behold and a validation of TPD's trust in such a polarizing player. The expectations are now back for this titan among men and it is time for him to retake the reigns of this franchise. Beckham's back ya'll and his NASTY should never be questioned again. Pure plum NASTY.
