Week one of the MFFL season has arrived and for TPD the anticipation is palpable. Months of research and planning have led to this moment, the moment when TPD steps onto the hallowed grounds of TPD Field House, and begins another MFFL journey, tangibly witnessing the wages of a new battle. Two straight championships, iron hardened and stead fast, TPD's resolve never wavering, the dawn of a new year has arrived, and this decorated manager once again stares down the barrel with a cemented gaze on the horizon and a look of cold confidence towards his opponents.

Fate's always ironic plater has served TPD a wide variety of difficult circumstances for week one. Wilson will battle on the road in the always difficult Denver atmosphere, Beckham locks horns with Ramsey for his first game action in over 10 months, Cooper battles the Rams, while Baldwin deals with a chronic knee injury. What a fitting start for this battle tested manager, yet opportunity to prove why he is the best at savvy gameday managing.

TPD expects another big year out of Russell Wilson, on the heels of a top 3 overall points finish in the MFFL a year ago. Working in his favor this season is the fact that the Seahawks D has been dismantled, leaving plenty a need for big scoring days from Wilson. Some would point to his offensive supporting cast as a concern, but when has that ever been a problem for Wilson? TPD's WRs to begin the year are potent. He welcomes back franchise mainstays in Beckham and Thomas, while bringing back previous draftees Cooper and Baldwin, both of whom look to be the main engine of their respective offenses on teams with bad defenses. Cooper Kupp is quietly lurking as TPD's #5 WR, but his potential is enormous in an offense led by a QB who loves to dump to his young slot man. The RB core is more solidified to start this season than in previous renditions. Miller and Henry lead the way as touch monsters, while Peyton Barber is set for a three down role in a capable offense. TPD will see whatever AD has left in the tank as it looks like the future hall of famer will be the lead back for Washington. He traded away James White but reacquired him last night. The passing specialist is always undervalued. Trey Burton is ready to set the league on fire in a position tailored made towards his skill set. Baltimore Defense quietly finished last season as the #2 fantasy defense and in week one they have arguably the best on paper match-up against Nathan Peterman and reworked offensive line Bills.

The team is deep and ever evolving. TPD may have the most at his disposal to start a season in some time, not an encouraging thought for other league members. Even with a promising season hopefully on tap, this week looks tough on paper. Many tough match-ups and role/injury concerns will make TPD fluctuate his roster more than one would want for week 1. Do not be surprised if TPD benches/starts players no one else would dare consider. He has done it before and will do whatever it takes to win. That confidence has led to two straight championships, and it will never waver. You may see Beckham, Baldwin, Cooper, and Henry all on TPD's bench for week one, who else would even consider such a move? TPD is ready to dispel some of the negative criticism geared towards players like Wilson, Baldwin, and Henry, but it may have to wait, due to tough match-ups to start the year. Either way TPD is ready and excited to put faith in his guys and remind everyone of who he is. Don't get it twisted.

As TPD opens the gates to TPD Field House, the NASTY, taken from Dynasty, boils over, engulfing all that it meets. Chained and caged for months, the NASTY is tortured waiting to be unleashed. It will consume and devour all, as it is only meant to do. The NASTY rides with TPD forever and always, loyal to the bitter end.

Player Profile: James Conner
How did it come to this? No one could have seen this coming. One of the best RBs in the league is for sure to miss week one, due to their own design. The storyline has sent shockwaves throughout all who watch and cheer, but it opens the door for a player ready to take the reigns of a powerful offense, a player who may not be so willing to relinquish the reigns when designated to do so. Conner is battle tested on and off the field, it is foolish for anyone to question his resolve and abilities. TPD will look to strike gold with this free agent pickup of just a night ago. He is no stranger to using fill in RBs to start a season, and those past results have been nothing short of NASTY. Take what is yours Conner, and do your NASTY! TPD football is back baby 2018 style!
