TPD must rebound quickly for a classic rivalry week Thanksgiving after a heartbreaking two point loss a week ago. Anytime a match-up is that close the what ifs immediately enter the consciousness of the loser. TPD can point the finger at many players who did not do enough to obtain a victory while also lamenting the fact that one of their best players, LeSean, exited the game before halftime and did not return due to injury. It was a gut wrenching loss and one that pushes TPD's playoff chances to the brink.
TPD enters week 12 having scored the most points in the league. Yet they reside in 6th place and in serious danger of being knocked out at any moment. He cannot win games when he scores below 120 points. He has not done it since week 8 of 2014 and has only accomplished that feat four times in his entire career. Teams need close low scoring wins in order to win games in this league and it has been maddening watching countless others obtain victories in that fashion week after week while TPD continues to be handcuffed by his poor luck and circumstances. Week 12 offers another chance to break through circumstance and clear a path for the playoffs. What is dead may never die.
The match-ups are tough for TPD this week. It is going to take a full team effort to knock off Loco at Burritoville. TPD will determine his starting RBs at a later date as he waits for injury news to shape the landscape. His elite WRs have very tough match-ups on paper, making Brandin Cooks a possible option at home, but it is hard to sit the guys ahead of him. Both Stafford and Rivers will hit the bench this week as Eli Manning will make a start for TPD.
It is Thanksgiving week meaning there should be plenty of helpings of NASTY going around the family table at Loco headquarters. Last year Loco shared the NASTY helpings with the entire family, who all enjoyed it, and somehow had the stomach to handle it. But this season the recipe has changed and do not be surprised by the look on Loco's face as he attempts to eat the NASTY in the same manner as they did last season, only to find out, instantly, that they have made an extreme error in judgement. TPD has always left Burritoville with an upset stomach due to the nasty food served at that stadium, but this season it will be Loco with the dismembered bowels. Gross, that is NASTY.
Player Profile: Wendell Smallwood
Shady was well on his way to a NASTY performance last week before he got hurt. This week will profile another RB. Wendell Smallwood gets the nod though it could be a number of RBs in play for this profile. Many RBs on TPDs roster may get heavier workloads due to injuries and Smallwood is at the top of that list. He has proven to be a valuable commodity when given the chance and if that chance comes this week expect a NASTY day for the ages.
