TPD has won the East Division. TPD has secured a playoff spot, and the top overall seed. This team of world ender's just continues to smash. They scored the most points of the week again, the seventh time this season. Words do little to explain how great this team has been. He is averaging 145 ppg, while still dealing with the league's most difficult schedule of 133 ppg. No team has been able to be this dominate, with that difficult of a schedule. TPD now has two weeks to get his playoff lineup to full speed. While stories are bound to be written about this team for years to come, those stories will seem less significant were TPD not able to close it out, and secure his fourth championship. It is a special team, that could become legendary, were they to win it all.
TPD will likely tinker with the lineup this week, since his playoff positioning is already secured. Allen and Hill are two explosive QBs. Hill played well last week, while Allen suffered through some horrible weather. Allen has led this team all season, but if Hill continues to play well, then he'll likely get a chance to start in the playoffs, considering his closing schedule. Adams is back from bye, and ready to feast on the rest of the league, with the league's best WR, Cooper Kupp, at his side. Songs will be written about Kupp's 2021 season. Songs will also be written about Taylor's season, but this week he is on bye. Cook is likely to return to the lineup, but TPD hopes that down the stretch either Cook or Mattison takes the full reigns of this back field. The worst case scenario would be that Cook's beat up body splits time with Mattison down the stretch. Javonte Williams was a last minute start for TPD a week ago, and he scored 30 points. More on him later. Higgins and Williams will fight for the flex. TPD hopes at least one of them is available, as Higgins is injured, and Williams was a close contact, and is on the covid list. TPD needs to see Pitts play better, if he has any shot at starting in the playoffs. TPDs power move in picking up Logan Thomas paid off, but Thomas got hurt and is out for the year. Conklin was picked up after dropping Thomas, and he may get the start this week. TPD will explore all TE options on free agency.
Always aware of all the options is the NASTY. Boy has it been NASTY this season. Some might say as NASTY as it's ever been. TPD will try his best to cage the beast during two low stacks weeks to finish the regular season, but his efforts will be in vein. The NASTY will roar all the same.
Player Profile: Javonte Williams
Williams was finally given his chance last week due to Gordon's injury, and he did not disappoint. He did everything for Denver. He now gets a home match-up against the Lions. His momentum will continue. Williams is poised to have a beast end run, a la Taylor and Akers of last season. He's a special talent. Even if Gordon returns this week, Williams will likely play his way into a starting playoff role for TPD. What a NASTY way to finish a season.
