There was once a dream that was TPD. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile. In 2016, TPD captured the first dream, and his dreaming ways have continued ever since. Championships in 2017, and 2018 coronated a 3peat, and a golden bust, etched in stone for eternity. The poor circumstance of the past long forgotten, TPD now resides in the halls of the great kings of old, clenched at the pinnacle of his profession. The top dog now gets a chance to roar again. The horns of TPD shall sound in the deep once more. Let this be the hour when TPD fans draw swords together. Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn. It's championship week, and TPD is going for the pinky ring. What a way to start the new calendar year.
TPD's sensational season continued in the first round of the playoffs. He scored a semi-finals record 168 points, securing his 4th championship appearance out of the last 6 seasons. History is calling to him once more. The greatest draft in human history is set to become the greatest team in history if they can finish the quest and grasp hold of the illustrious MFFL championship trophy. Each game played in the MFFL is sacred to TPD. He is always grateful for as many meaningful games he can play each season. He has gone all the way this year, and what a ride it has been.
The starting lineup will remain much the same. The sheer volume of firepower this lineup possesses is truly extraordinary, and unprecedented. Kupp, Taylor, and Allen still remain the top 3 scorers in all of fantasy football, while Adams checks in at #7. Truly amazing. As if this dominant force of nature couldn't get any scarier, the match-ups this week are all spectacular. TPD is putting his best foot forward at the best time. Allen is at home against a lifeless Falcons. Kupp is on the road against an injury riddled Ravens secondary. Adams is at home at night against the team he has owned his whole career, the Vikings. Taylor is at home against the terrible run stopping Raiders, and he gets his O-line boys back. The fearsome foursome will finish all of their truly special seasons with a bang, and the rest of the lineup will do their part. TPD wishes there were words to describe how appreciative he is to all the players who have dawned the TPD colors this year, but words fall short when players play this well, for this long. He has experienced something truly magical, and it is because of them, and their magical seasons.
There are still lineup decisions to be made. I mean of course there are. It wouldn't be a TPD match-up without negative circumstance popping up somewhere. Cook is without his starting QB, which will make TPD pause before immediately inserting him into the lineup. Pitts will likely hit the bench, playing a tough team on the road. Brown may be forced to leave the flex, after tweaking his ankle injury. Guys like Moreau, Penny, and Higgins may all be relied upon before the end. Mcpherson will continue to start for TPD at kicker, as he is the most underrated kicking commodity in fantasy, and Chicago defense may be poised to make a start at home, with 30mph winds, against a back-up QB. Though Seattle has a great match-up against a back-up QB too. It all comes down to this. TPD's league best gameday managing skills will be put to the test once again. He has aced it before, and he will ace it again. He knows no fear and gives no F's. He is battle hardened and singularly prepared for this moment. He will again make what seems impossible yesterday, a reality for tomorrow.
Always making the impossible possible is the NASTY from Dynasty. This season, its ear piercing roar has been louder than any time before. It comes for all and cares little about whats left in its wake. It's a kings roar. One built from scares of its past. Molded by heartache and hard lessons. Now golden and chrome, its see flow of shimmering nastiness will encase the field of The Field House. Its coronation arrives once more. For what is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger. You down with TPD? Ya you know me. Shine on TPD, you shine on. All light is sacred to the Eldar, but the wood elves love best the light of the stars. What was once a cold light to TPD, remote and far away, it is now memory, precise and pure. TPD has walked there and seen the world fall away and the white light forever fill the air. This embattled dreamer, propelled by nostalgia and reverence, will extend a hand towards glory filled skies, grabbing hold of the sweetest of fruits, his 4th MFFL championship.
Player Profile:
This week will cement Cooper Kupp, Jonathan Taylor, and Josh Allen as TPD legends, and their highlights will fill the reverence halls for all time, golden and remembered with rich nostalgia and smiled peace. Adams has a chance to become a TPD hall of famer. All are the player profile. All are legendary. Their efforts will be etched in history forever. What a NASTY tale indeed.
