So it comes to this, TPD pushed to the brink, and a 5th playoff journey on the horizon. The TPD horns sounded in the deep once more in another must win game, sealing the final place in the final four. Two straight weeks of 150 point ball have slingshot-ed this team into a position to fight for it all. No franchise has had a harder passage through the MFFL labyrinth, and none have fought to the very end like this one. TPD was once again near the top of the total points mountain but had to fight for every win. None are has battle worn or forcefully prepared for whats to come than he. TPD will need to rely on all the battle scars of old in what is unquestionably the hardest gameday lineup decisions ever by a playoff participant.
Eternal glory is at stake as TPD attempts to become the first ever back to back champion of the illustrious MFFL. Standing in his way is a who's who of distinguished teams, but TPD is weathered for moments such as these, and he may be the only one who can traverse such an undertaking. The lineup decisions for round 1 of the playoffs begin with the battle at the top, Tom Brady vs Aaron Rodgers. An impossible task picking between the two, TPD has to evaluate to the finest of details. A.J. Green and DeAndre Hopkins have the two worst possible matchups WRs could have, and that is no hyperbole. Sending arguably his two best players to the bench for the first round of the playoffs is certainly a move only TPD could make, and one with an inherent amount of risk. He may have to start 3 RBs, Drake, Burkhead, and McCaffrey, a lineup choice TPD has rarely made. Marquise Goodwin was picked up this week and may be a shocking start for this franchise, but his play over the last month is undeniable, and he has a solid matchup at home. Michael Thomas and Travis Kelce are no brainer selections, and both have to perform at a level close to their max in order for TPD to withstand the loss of other stars. A new defensive selection also attempts to exploit a beatable match-up with New Orleans at home against Bryce Petty and the Jets. Wil Lutz will continue to handle the kicking duties. Overall this team is the hottest in the league over the last two weeks. They have been scoring points at will, and considering TPD's depth, there is absolutely a lineup available this week that can ball out. The only problem is figuring out which one it is.
TPD is heading on the road for the initial playoff battle and he is bringing his dogs with him. The lineup may not be at its peak potential, but it will be littered with guys ready to bite. Bitting with the force of the jaws of life is, as always, the NASTY. Unleashing the NASTY from Dynasty is the unquestioned calling card of this franchise. Over the course of many weeks it has feasted during TPD's times of most need. It will consume all. Sail hard and true the sounds of the TPD horn, it calls upon all to draw up swords and stand with him now once more. What is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger. Its time for war.
Player Profile: Marquise Goodwin
Is TPD really about to start a player that was rostered by an MFFL team for the first time this season just yesterday? If he has the guts to pull this off it is most certainly a power move, one that could make him the GOAT, or the all time chump. Goodwin has thrived in Kyle Shanahan's #1 WR friendly offense, and with Jimmy G under center, but can he perform in what is undoubtedly Goodwin's biggest game ever, being a member of this franchise? The most shocking playoff lineup decision ever could carry the fate of all who dawn the TPD banners. Either way, Goodwin's electricity on the field will leave no doubt as to what his performance on Sunday will be characterized as....SO NASTY! Playoff NASTY Baby.
