After two straight victories TPD is gaining momentum in preparation for the home stretch of the MFFL season. Four weeks remain in the regular season and this week presents a huge challenge. The squad is rounding into form, and they are performing the way TPD hoped after solidifying the roster right before the trade deadline.
This week is huge for multiple reasons as TPD is attempting to stop his opponent from breaking his longest winning streak record and keep pace in the race for the playoffs. The league is loaded at the top with five teams having 3 losses or less. The season continues to be a grind even with TPD playing well most of the year.
The roster is getting closer to its full potential with guys like Woodhead and Olsen possibly returning to action very soon. Rex Burkhead has been a frequent flyer to TPD's team, but has struggled to maintain on the roster week to week. He finally gets a chance to start for TPD and both parties are extremely excited for the well deserved opportunity. Brady will be reinserted into the starting lineup after the bye week looks to have rejuvenated him. Kelce's return is much needed after his backup scored a single point a week ago. The WRs continue to play well but excitingly, still have room to improve. Pittsburgh D has been one of the better late season draft choices for TPD in a long while. He cannot remember the last time he stuck with one defense for this long.
TPD is eagerly awaiting the full growth and potential of this roster. He hopes it will peak at the most opportune time. A win this week would be huge for the team's confidence, positioning, and perception. Never being in short supply of any of those things is the NASTY. It stands in TPD's corner as the propelling force behind TPD domination. The shape shifting blob of terribleness transforms into whatever form necessary for TPD victories. A huge stage in one of the biggest games of the year is the exact moment when the NASTY consumes all. This NASTY showing could redistribute the balance of power for the rest of the season. That's some NASTY man.
Player Profile: Rex Burkhead
Oh how sweet it is. TPD has never given up on Rex, picking him up seemingly ever other week in anticipation for moments such as this. Now that injuries are behind him, Burkhead is fulfilling his destiny on TPD's roster. The time is now when all takes shape with Rex a vital piece to the puzzle. The combination of him and Brady on Sunday will put the league on notice, in a fashion best described as NASTY. Let's do it Rex.
