The Championship Game
What is dead may never die,
but rises again harder and stronger.
TPD has risen from the ashes of his layered past and soared to heights previously unknown. Come this weekend he will compete on the biggest stage for an MFFL championship. The theme of this season rang loud and true all year, as the weight of its purpose has carried this franchise through thick and thin, and now TPD prepares for the final crescendo.
East division Champion TPD defeated The Real McCoy franchise in last week's semifinal and meeting him in the championship ring for week 16 is Unstopa-bo, the West division champion.
TPD is going through a bit of shock as he prepares for his first ever championship appearance, but the hype and dedication remains at a constant high. His strong gameday managing has carried him all season long and now, entering the championship game, is not the time to give up on what has made him successful. He will look to his own knowledge of the game, to yet again put his team in the best possible situation, in hopes of capturing what has long ruminated in his mind. He has many tough decisions to make.
His roster this week has some interesting undertones. Rivers faces a poor Cleveland D, but he is traveling cross coast for a early eastern time zone game, in possible non San Diego like conditions. Julio looks to be back but how healthy is he, and will Carolina be triple teaming him after he compiled 300 yards against them in his first meeting. Beckham plays on Thursday night and Eifert seems to be hurt. It will be up to TPD to weave through the variables and discover which are real and valid and which are just blinding him of the truth.
The importance of this game cannot be understated. This is it. The NASTY from Dynasty has been a part of TPD for many years. He unleashes it on many opponents of the MFFL and this week the NASTY will be requested for one hell of a showing. The components of such nastiness will once again be fuel to the TPD engine, which hopes to steamroll on the way to the almost unspeakable reward. The weather forecasts for Funny Bone Stadium call for a giant NASTY front, the consequences of which will leave the field in utter disarray, in support of a TPD victory.
TPD has accomplished so much this season, and he cannot help but be proud of what has been achieved. But the truth is known, TPD has one goal in mind.
To TPD's fans, sponsors, and supporters, he asks you to carry the banner and do what is necessary come Week 16. It is the championship, and who will answer the call. What is dead may never die.
Player Profile: Odell Beckham Jr.
A microcosm of TPD's season, Beckham has had his own ups and downs. But looking at the season from its entire whole, it is clear that TPD's decision to draft Odell at 2nd overall was a smart decision. Now, months later, TPD calls upon Beckham once more as he prepares for a championship clash. TPD's season was turned around on a Thursday night many weeks ago and now it will be Beckham's turn to show the full display of TPD's revolution. Odell Beckham Jr. will prove that even Thursday's cannot damper his nastiness. Set the tone for the championship OBJ, and carry the TPD flag high. NASTY!
