Playoffs!
PD finds himself in familiar territory. He has the number 1 seed for The MFFL Playoffs for the second consecutive season. His eleven regular season wins matched is total from a season ago. He also broke his overall regular season points record en route to an (8-0) divisional mark. It has simply been a fantastic season. The goal this season is to finish what PD started. PD was knocked out of the playoffs in round 1 last season. It was the most devastating defeat of his career. He has not forgotten. This week has presented some challenges. First, PD is playing the Morgans who have been one of the best teams all year. Second, PD lost Gronk for the remainder of the season. PD had not lost a game in which Gronk started for him. Third, PD has some difficult decisions to make with his starting RB's. He will probably play it safe tonight and bench both Woodhead and Ball, even though He feels they will both play well. He is already starting three other players in the Thursday Night game and he does not want to risk 5 players going in one game. He will determine which two RB's will start for him once injury updates are available on Friday or Saturday. It is out of PD's hands at this point. For two straight seasons he has crafted two juggernaut squads. The playoffs are a different animal all together. PD hopes to make the right decisions at RB and let the cards fall where they may. For eight straight weeks PD has unleashed the NASTY from Dynasty, and it has led to eight straight victories. PD will try to unleash the NASTY for the ninth consecutive time against the Morgans in the 2013 MFFL Playoffs.
Player Profile: Peyton Manning. Way back in week 1 PD gave the player profile to Peyton Manning. It was a Thursday night opener and PD wanted Peyton to show that he was the leader of PD's team. Peyton put up 54 fantasy points in a unforgettable performance. How fitting that in PD's first playoff match-up Peyton is once again playing on Thursday night. PD needs Peyton to be the leader he has been all year, the magic must continue.
