Playoffs!
PD finds himself in familiar territory. He has the number 1 seed for The MFFL Playoffs for the second consecutive season. His eleven regular season wins matched is total from a season ago. He also broke his overall regular season points record en route to an (8-0) divisional mark. It has simply been a fantastic season. The goal this season is to finish what PD started. PD was knocked out of the playoffs in round 1 last season. It was the most devastating defeat of his career. He has not forgotten. This week has presented some challenges. First, PD is playing the Morgans who have been one of the best teams all year. Second, PD lost Gronk for the remainder of the season. PD had not lost a game in which Gronk started for him. Third, PD has some difficult decisions to make with his starting RB's. He will probably play it safe tonight and bench both Woodhead and Ball, even though He feels they will both play well. He is already starting three other players in the Thursday Night game and he does not want to risk 5 players going in one game. He will determine which two RB's will start for him once injury updates are available on Friday or Saturday. It is out of PD's hands at this point. For two straight seasons he has crafted two juggernaut squads. The playoffs are a different animal all together. PD hopes to make the right decisions at RB and let the cards fall where they may. For eight straight weeks PD has unleashed the NASTY from Dynasty, and it has led to eight straight victories. PD will try to unleash the NASTY for the ninth consecutive time against the Morgans in the 2013 MFFL Playoffs.
Player Profile: Peyton Manning. Way back in week 1 PD gave the player profile to Peyton Manning. It was a Thursday night opener and PD wanted Peyton to show that he was the leader of PD's team. Peyton put up 54 fantasy points in a unforgettable performance. How fitting that in PD's first playoff match-up Peyton is once again playing on Thursday night. PD needs Peyton to be the leader he has been all year, the magic must continue.

QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
RB: Frank Gore

FLEX: Dez Bryant

DEF: Seattle
PD won his 7th straight game last week. He clinched the top seed in the MFFL playoffs. His defeat over TDs (163-114) gave him an (8-0) divisional record this season, and now gives him a (15-1) record against his division for the last 2 seasons. He is now averaging 136 points per game for the season, largely in part because he has scored over 140 in six out of his last seven match-ups. He welcomes El Pollo Loco to PD Field House for the final week of the regular season. Loco needs to win in order to make the playoffs. PD played Loco in week 7, it was the first time PD brought out the NASTY within Dynasty. He has not lost since en route to 7 straight victories. For the 8th straight week, PD will try to bring out the NASTY against a very good Loco squad.
Player Profile: This week is an evaluation week for PD. He will watch all his players in an effort to decide the best playoff starting lineup for next week. PD will be monitoring all his RB's. It is anyones guess who will start at RB for PD next week. In all likelihood it will be based on how this week goes for PD's much maligned RB core.

Playoff Bound! PD won his 6th straight game last week, clinching a spot in the 2013 MFFL Playoffs for the second straight season. His victory over Blanca give hims a (7-0) record against the East Division. A win this week over TDs means a season sweep of his division. It also means he will clinch the top seed in the playoffs for the second straight year. His opponent presents issues. TDs has won 3 games in a row. This would be a signature win for the TDs franchise so PD must be ready. Six straight weeks of bringing out the NASTY, six straight wins. PD will once again try to bring the NASTY out of Dynasty against TDs.
Player Profile: Frank Gore is the player profile of week 13. Gore has not produced at the level PD expected of him since PD acquired Gore via trade. It is time Gore plays like a number 1 RB. PD hopes a home match-up versus the Rams will help unleash Frank Gore. The first time these two teams met, Frank had 153 rushing yards.

PD has won 5 straight. He is (8-3) on the season. He looks to continue his undefeated streak against the East Division. His opponent this week is none other than La Flama Blanca, the 2nd ranked team in the league. Their first match-up was marred by injuries and Byes. This match-up promised to be the best game of the year, But things have changed over the last 3 weeks. Many believe PD has improved his roster, while La Flama will be without Rodgers, Wilson, and McCoy for this week. Regardless, PD needs his hot streak to continue against a worthy opponent. Five times PD has unleashed the NASTY, and five times he has gotten a victory. He hopes to unleash the NASTY for a sixth consecutive week.
The Player Profile for this week belongs to Dez Bryant. Welcome aboard Dez. PD acquired Dez last week, but could not start him due to bye. This week is the first time teams will get a change to see Calvin, Demaryius, and Dez all take the field for PD. These are exciting times for the PD franchise. WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
RB: Frank Gore
RB: Danny Woodhead
TE: Rob Gronkowski
FLEX: Donald Brown
K: Stephen Gostkowski
DEF: Seattle
Wow. Somehow PD has managed to overshadow perhaps the greatest game of the season. He has done this through a blitzkrieg of trades right before the trading deadline. To go through all of the trades would take forever, instead lets look at which players remain after the dust has settled. When PD is at full strength, his lineup will feature: Peyton, Calvin, Dez, Demaryius, Frank, Danny, Rob and Seattle. PD is not over looking his opponent. The Morgans are strong. The Dez Bryant bye week means PD has to start Donald Brown in his flex. This is the match-up of the year to date, so get your popcorn ready. PD will once again try to bring out the NASTY in Dynasty.
Player Profile: Welcome Back Danny Woodhead. Danny brings out the nasty in many ways. This Joker player will finally try to give PD consistency at the RB 2 position. PD needs a strong game out of him considering PD is facing Matt Forte, Alfred Morris, and Knowshon Moreno.

Week 10 Press Release
Perpetual Dynasty VS Tavon and Only
Date: October 10, 2013
Time: 1:00PM
Place: PD Field House
Starting Lineup:
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
RB: Frank Gore
RB: Mike James
TE: Charles Clay
FLEX: T.Y. Hilton
K: Josh Brown
DEF: Seattle
PD has now won three straight games. He took down La Flama last week to grab the number 1 ranking in the league. His team was propelled by great performances from Gronk and Hilton. He gets his stars back this week for a divisional game against Tavon. Tavon got the win last week but they have still lost 5 out of their last 7 games. PD is leaving big name players like Ray Rice and Trent Richardson on the bench this week. They have not performed well all year. Still, PD has weapons to play with at RB. Once Vereen comes back next week then PD will have five RBs he can start any given week based on the match-ups. Three trends give PD confidence in this match-up: He is playing at PD Field House(He has a 10-1 at PD Field House over the last two seasons), He is undefeated against divisional opponents this year, and he gets Peyton, Calvin, Demaryius, and Frank back from bye. Ever since PD brought out the NASTY in Dynasty he has gone undefeated. He will try to unleash the NASTY against Tavon this week.
This Weeks Player Profile belongs to T.Y. Hilton. In the first game without Reggie Wayne T.Y. accumulated 38 points. T.Y. has been inconsistent all year so PD is hoping T.Y. can continue to produce in the absence of Wayne. A big game out of him this week could lead to him locking down PD's flex position going forward.

Starting Lineup:
QB: Terrelle Pryor
WR: Harry Douglas
WR: T.Y. Hilton
RB: Ray Rice
RB: Trent Richardson
TE: Rob Gronkowski
FLEX: Roy Helu
K: Matt Bryant
DEF: Seattle
PD finally has back to back wins. He beat the Morgans last week 170-151. PD got close to the all time points record, mostly due in part to Megatron's 51 points! Peyton, Demaryius, and Harry were all over 20 points as well. Harry Douglas steps in as PD's number 1 receiver this week, as Calvin and Demaryius are on bye. PD has liked what he has seen out of Douglas, he has two straight weeks of over 20 point production. PD faces the top team in the East Division this week La Flama Blanca. Bye week issues for both teams have been well documented. PD does not know what to expect from his team this week. He hopes that his starting RB's, Rice and Richardson, start performing like the Rice and Richardson of old. PD has scored over 140 points in 4 out of his last 5 games. We do not expect that to happen this week, but as was the theme of the last two weeks, PD is gonna continue to bring out the NASTY in dynasty. If it aint broke don't fix it.
This week's player profile belongs to Ray Rice. It is time Rice. The bye week hopefully allowed him to heal. The talk this week has been about his burst being back. If that's the case, look for Rice to be productive in many aspects of the game. Catches are key with Rice in this PPR league. He will have to hope for TDs and catches this week, as the Browns are hard to rush against. PD needs Rice to have one of his best games of the year.

FLEX: Harry Douglas

PD once again bounced back from a loss with a victory last week. He has yet to lose back to back games all year. His team was carried by his stars. Manning, Megatron, and Gronk all performed at high levels. He needs a continuation of that this week as Rice and Richardson are both on bye. He faces a good Morgans team. They have won 4 out of 5. The theme for PD last week was bringing out the NASTY in Dynasty. It worked. He scored the most points in the league. PD will once again try to bring out the NASTY against a strong Morgans squad. Look for the winner of this match-up to be the team that won the battle of defenses. Both KC and Seattle have great match-ups.
This week's player profile is Mike James. PD spent $40 on him in free agency this week. While it was a high price tag, many managers have told PD that their bids were not far below. Even though Doug Martin insists that he is not done for the year, Tampa is (0-6), and they will not rush back their best player to compete in meaningless games. PD expects James to be a feature RB in their offense. He has a tough match-up against Carolina, but if Tampa gets down early, PD hopes James will catches many dump off passes. Time to bring the NASTY James.

PD is looking to rebound after an awful week 6 performance. His team is not performing at the level they were expected to. It will not get any easier this week as he travels to the dreaded Burrito Ville, home of El Pollo Loco. The stadium was built in 1902 and it smells awful. Loco's team is strong. He has many stars to be wary of. PD needs his big name players to start stepping up. The theme for this week is bringing out the NASTY in Dynasty. Division games start after this week. PD hopes to head into division play with momentum.
The player profile for this week is Seattle defense. They are more likely than anyone to bring out the NASTY. This will be Loco's third straight Thursday night game in which he plays his opponents defense. Cleveland got 18, while Chicago got 13. PD is hoping for a similar performance.

DEF: Houston
PD got back to his winning ways in week 5. He scored 140 points in a victory over The Reckoning. It was a big win for the franchise. PD respects the HELL out of Reck. They now face the other King Kong of the West Division, Babes. Both the babes and PD are currently hold first place in their respective Divisions. Both teams are dealing with injuries. The Babes are without Julio Jones for the rest of the season. PD may be without Megatron, Gronk, and Shorts, all players are questionable for Sunday. PD will need contingency plans in place assuming some of them will be out. PD was hoping to have his team at full strength by this point in the season, but it has yet to happen. This is one of the best match-ups of the season so do not miss it.
This Week's player profile is newly acquired Alfred Morris. He has a good opportunity to showcase his skills on Sunday Night Football. PD hopes Morris can be a steady influence for an otherwise fluid RB core.

Week 5 Press Release
Perpetual Dynasty VS The Reckoning
Date: October 6, 2013
Time: 1:00PM
Place: PD Field House
Starting Lineup:
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
RB: Trent Richardson
RB: David Wilson
TE: Greg Olsen
FLEX: C.J. Spiller
K: David Akers
DEF: St. Louis
PD scored the second most points in week 4 (155). Unfortunately, he still lost. It was the most points scored in a losing effort in league history; And what is his prize for such a heartbreaking defeat, Reckoning. Arguably the two best managers in the league, PD and Reckoning will add another page to their historic match-up book this weekend. The Reckoning present some issues. First, they were a good team at the start of the season but they have improved dramatically over the last week and a half. Second, Reckoning is out for revenge after losing the only match-up between these two titans last season. PD and Reckoning use this game as a measuring stick. If PD wins he will gain confidence, and hopefully more wins moving forward. He needs a complete team effort if he has any chance of beating Reckoning. His achilles heal has been his TE play. They have scored a total of 8 points in four weeks. He hopes newly acquired Greg Olsen can add some much needed points. If Gronk plays PD will start him. This is always one of the best match-ups of the year, and this Sunday should be no different.
Player Profile:
This week's player profile is David Wilson. He has started out slow because his team keeps falling behind early and their O-line is injured. This week could be different because the Giants are playing the Eagles and the their defense is struggling. If the Giants win and the Cowboys lose to the Broncos, the Giants will miraculously be only one game out of first place, even though they have started (0-4). This week is a make or break week the G Men and for David Wilson. The Giant's cut ties with their third down specialist this week, meaning Wilson will have more opportunities to put points on the board. If PD wants a win, David Wilson will have to be a big contributor come Sunday.

Week 4 Press Release
Perpetual Dynasty VS Weeden and Weep
Date: September 29, 2013
Time: 1:00PM
Place: Tissue Coliseum
Starting Lineup:
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
RB: Trent Richardson
RB: Danny Woodhead
TE: Rob Gronkowski
FLEX: Reggie Wayne
K: Sebastian Janikowski
DEF: New Orleans
PD got back to his winning ways with a victory over Tavon. His team has completely changed after a cluster of trades. He is hoping team unity can build throughout the week as he is starting 5 players who have not previously been in his starting lineup. Weeden is coming off of a big win over McCoy, but few believe that trend can continue. If PD wins he will be (3-1). That would be his best start to a season in quite some time.
This week's player profile is Reggie Wayne. PD traded Julian Edelman for Wayne earlier this week. Reggie and PD have had their differences in the past but PD believes it is because he asked to much of Wayne in prev
ious seasons. PD hopes Wayne will flourish in the flex, while WR starters Calvin Johnson and Demaryius Thomas take the pressure off of him.

Week 3 Press Release
Perpetual Dynasty VS Tavon and Only
Date: September 22, 2013
Time: 1:00PM
Place: TO Stadium
Starting Lineup:
QB Peyton Manning
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Demaryius Thomas
RB: Trent Richardson
RB: Joique Bell
TE: Coby Fleener
FLEX: Julian Edelman
K: Steven Hauschka
DEF: Houston
PD looks to rebound after a disappointing loss in week 2. He faces an undefeated team in week 3, Tavon and Only. This is the first of two match-ups between these teams. Tavon is feeling extremely confident after a great start to his season. PD is still not at full strength. Gronk is probably out one more week and newly acquired Trent Richardson will try to adjust to a new team after only 4 days. This match-up looks to be razor close. PD hopes to turn Tavon's confidence into despair.
This week's player profile goes to Joique Bell. He has played extremely well in the first 2 weeks and he now hopes to have an expanded offensive role with Reggie Bush ailing. He will have to be the centerpiece of PD's RBs this week.

Week 2 Press Release
Perpetual Dynasty VS The Real McCoy
Date: September 15, 2013
Time: 1:00PM
Place: PD Field House
Starting Lineup:
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Brandon Marshall
RB: Maurice Jones-Drew
RB: DeAngelo Williams
TE: Dallas Clark
FLEX: Julian Edelman
K: David Akers
DEF: Dallas Cowboys
PD started the season off well with a victory over TDs. He now turns his focus to The Real McCoy; the team responsible for knocking him out of the playoffs a season ago. The stakes are high (Match-up Build-up analyzes further). PD had 135 points in week 1, which would be great every week, but if you look deeper its clear PD has much to work on. His RB's were a disaster in week 1. Look for wholesale changes if they perform poorly this week. PD is anxiously waiting for the return of Rob Gronkowski, but perhaps this is the last week until Gronk officially wears the PD colors. Should be a great match-up across the board. Calvin Johnson needs to perform better if PD has any chance of winning consistently this season.
Julian Edelman is this week's player profile. Last week Peyton Manning scored 54 points on Thursday night for PD. Edelman plays on Thursday this week and PD is expecting a solid performance. It would go a long way towards winning this match-up if Edelman can hang with Ridley.

Week 1 Press Release
Perpetual Dynasty VS ShowMeYourTDs
Date: September 8, 2013
Time: 1:00PM
Place: PD Field House
Starting Lineup:
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Brandon Marshall
RB: Maurice Jones-Drew
RB: Lamar Miller
TE: Zach Sudfeld
FLEX: Shane Vereen
K: David Akers
DEF: Arizona
The 2013 MFFL season has finally arrived. The anticipation surrounding the new league year is palpable. PD opens the season against a familiar foe. These two teams met in the playoffs last season, as well as twice in the regular season. PD dominated TDs en route to three victories. So much has changed since last season, but PD will try to pick up where he left off from last season, with a win against TDs. TDs has the oldest team in the league. Only time will tell if age brings experience or decay for TDs franchise. PD is loaded with star potential: Manning, Megatron, Marshall, Jones-Drew, and Gronk. While he won't be at his full potential come week 1, he still has players chomping at the bit to prove they belong on a team with such strong tradition. Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, and Montee Ball are battling for the number two RB slot. Week 1 is their first chance for them to showcase their skills. Michael Floyd is a player who might crack the starting lineup come week 1, if he has a good week of practice. A victory is a nice way to start the season for a team that typically loses in week 1. A loss is another statistic to add to the trend of PD starting slow.
Player Profile: This week we are profiling Peyton Manning. He is the unquestioned leader of this team. PD is excited to see his Leader start the season on Thursday night. A leader's job is to instill confidence and strength in others; Peyton could accomplish that with a strong week 1 performance.
