"Have you ever walked there sometimes, and seen the world fall away and the light forever fill the air. All light is sacred to the Eldar, but the wood elves love best the light of the stars."
What was once an unspeakable dream is now written in the stars. First etched in stone, then cast in gold, now a blaze in starlight. It seems an impossible fate for a once broken man, if not for what was foretold.
Hope was all that was left for an embattled dreamer. Hope for a reverenced past. But not an unaware or unappreciated hope. Hope's foundation understood and maintained through purpose and dedication to reverence and nostalgia. It is within this understanding of reverence that the prophecy for what was to come was formed. A prophecy of TPD's magnificent and terrible potential that would come to pass.
In discerning that reverenced past memories could only be achieved through embracing the summer grind and applying the knowledge gained from past pain, a path of choosing was laid before his feet. Either learn from one's mistakes, or walk aimlessly, head down from the weight of failure. Latter such actions would never be a tool of the non-wicked. Instead, dedication withstood and the offseason grind ensued, and each moment that inched closer towards that prophecy compounded his ever ready drive and determination. The first championship etched in stone a new dedication and foundation. It compounded with a championship energy, and through that energy the prophecy was then recast in gold and coronated through a back to back championship molding. And now, with the world fallen away and the prophecy of potential perhaps fulfilled, a 3peat cast in pure and precious starlight is revealed. For it is the memories that are indeed precious and pure. New nostalgia and reverence fills the air. Much that once was is now lost, for few now live who remember the heartbreak of TPD past. Left are the memories of OBJ, Evans, and LeSean from 2016. Hopkins, Thomas, and Kelce from 2017. Brown, McCaffrey, Conner, Wilson, and Williams from 2018. Such potential was foretold, and others were warned of the devastation to come. All now look upon something as brilliant and powerful as the dawn. TPD's crowning accomplishment, a 3peat, is a foundation that will stand forever. It will forever hoist him towards blinding skies of starlight. It will live forever in the halls of TPD lure and the pages of MFFL history. The prophecy fulfilled....or is it?
Last season began slow with a 2-2 record in the first four games. But TPD rallied with 5 straight wins claiming huge point totals during the streak. In fact, last season TPD became only the 2nd team in MFFL history to never score below 120 points in a regular season game all season. Even with so much remarkable past accomplished, TPD continued to find new ways of etching his name in the MFFL history books. But like the themes of each of the last two season's TPD's accomplishments flew under the radar, for McCoy and The Morgans once again sported dominate teams breaking records of their own. When the regular season dust had settled TPD's 6th playoff adventure pitted him against both familiar foes. This time however, each of them knew the score. Playing TPD in the playoffs was a challenge neither wanted to face. For while the other two teams were dominating in the regular season, very rarely having a match-up resembling anything close to a challenge, TPD was battling every week. Teams scored 120 more points against him than either of the two teams he would face in the playoffs. TPD never panicked or misstepped, for he had been there before and knew exactly what to do. The Morgans were once again up first. Last season's final four match-up was inarguably the greatest MFFL game ever played, with TPD becoming the victor due only to sheer will and managerial skill. Marquise Goodwin ring a bell? And while the 2018 version of this blood feud did not live up to such standards, TPD still came out on top, and sealed the fate the Morgans had long before knew in their heart.
After beating the Morgans he found himself in the championship for a third straight year, a feat never before accomplished in the MFFL. Waiting for him was none other than The Real McCoy. A match-up that once favored McCoy, now turned in favor of TPD, holding sway over each of the last three season's when these titan's clashed. McCoy, sensing a similar fate the Morgan's and others had felt, attempted something unthinkable. He started Jaylen Samuels, a RB, in his TE spot. For some ridiculous reason Samuels had TE eligibility. McCoy had picked up Samuels weeks before, after an injury to a stud TPD player, James Conner. In the weeks leading up to the championship, not once did McCoy put Samuels in his TE spot. It was only in setting his lineup for the championship that he dared such a brazen move. Sure it was a perfectly legal play of gamesmanship, but it felt too sneaky and cheap. It felt like a challenge and dare to the greatness and skill of TPD, but it also felt like desperation.
It is within that moment that something changed in TPD. The moment he saw 4 RBs in the starting lineup of his championship opponent brought about a peace of mind. His difficult championship lineup decisions suddenly became clear. Players with whom he had questions about leading into the week, he no longer questioned. His championship lineup took shape. For no team attempts such a play of gamesmanship against TPD and lives to tell the tale. For he knew he had to win and he knew he would win. In the end, it became true. TPD captured his crowning achievement, a magnificent 3peat, But it was how TPD secured his third straight championship that cemented his greatness. The result was quintessential TPD and seemingly a direct response to the move that had been attempted against him by his bold opponent. TPD scored a championship record 176 points. His team balled out, especially at positions in which TPD had previously struggled to set. McCoy still found quintessential McCoy ways to stay in the ball game, with every single player in his starting lineup scoring a touchdown except his kicker. His defense even scored a touchdown on the finally play of the game, after taking an interception to the house when they had already won and could have taken a knee. Such horrible circumstance long endured by TPD but long defeated, he once again showed his hardened education and skill, and grabbed hold of golden rich achievement once more. The gravity of a 3peat felt weightless. What was once carved in stone, then cast in gold, now cascaded in starlight. A triumph that will stand the test of time.
Some would think the long foreshadowed potential is now fulfilled. A 3peat, never before thought possible; this truly must be the prophecy's completion...but it is not. TPD's potential still carries purpose and momentum without end, his sights set on the horizon. For as he has reached heights unknown, others have attempted the climb behind him, and they have found plateaus of their own. Who would falter from such heights first? Does anyone dare to say TPD? Even with all he has accomplished, all still know the truth. The truth that he will not turn towards directions with complacent ends. He will endure and continue to exert his full force and will to dominate. It is the other's who will misstep and fall. Their time is borrowed and beckoning, for they lack the pain, scars, knowledge, and appreciation of reverence, necessary to continue down this path. TPD's resolve and dedication is compounded once more by a 3peat. Can you image what the force of a 3peat's compounding dedication can do to any that stand in its way? The destruction that awaits this continued prophecy will devour all. It continues on, riding a wave of NASTY towards even brighter star filled skies. It will carry on forever, unyielding, unwavering, and unrelenting. You know of what I speak, for you have seen it. TPD's dominance will endure, his spirit tied to the nostalgia and the nostalgia tied to him. They are one, the reverence and TPD. The foundation now a blazed with starlight. It is a torrent of glory filled sky, and it comes for you.
Welcome to TPD 2019. For what is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger. You down with TPD...ya you know me.
