Welcome to the Hall
2016 is almost upon us, with the winds of the MFFL ever changing. The 5th season of MFFL football will be a memorable one. Records have been written, championships have been won, and certain players' time in the MFFL have come to a close. Two retirings in particular mean it is time to induct the first two members into The Perpetual Dynasty Hall of Fame.
When managers around the league are asked to select a player who most encompasses the history of the TPD franchise, there is only one man that comes to mind...Calvin Johnson...Megatron. TPD drafted Megatron in 2013 and 2015, while also trading for him in 2014. Calvin has been a member of the TPD franchise for each of the last three seasons. Megatron bled for this franchise and he was the life source and heartbeat for TPD every time he took the field. His name in TPD's roster personified excellence and dominance. This man had a freaking megatron dance named after him. He is the first player to ever be inducted into the TPD Hall of Fame and we are proud to have such a deserving player be the leader yet again for another chapter of TPD football.
The 2nd member of the 2016 Hall of Fame class is none other than Peyton Manning. Peyton was drafted by TPD in 2013 and in Peyton's first game carrying the TPD banners he threw for 462 yards and 7 touchdowns. The 2013 season was the greatest season ever assembled by an MFFL quarterback. Peyton was the closer, with many of his games starting at or later than 4:00PM. No matter how the match-up was unfolding in 2013, Peyton closed the door and won many match-ups. His time with TPD was short, but the affect of his work is ever lasting.
Neither man could help TPD reach the ultimate goal, but their credentials for such a prestigious induction are unquestioned. They will now live forever in the Hall, and all those who come after will remember the legacy set forth by two historical TPD warriors. Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. Welcome to the Hall, Megatron and Peyton.
