The Dark Knight Rises is over, (3.5 out of 4), and now my attention focuses purely on fantasy preparations. I am selecting from the number 1 overall spot for the first time since 2004! Obviously things have changed in the world of fantasy since that time, and I face the challenge of having to prepare for a spot that is unknown to me; so why did I trade for the first draft slot?
The opportunity for me to get out of the 6th pick was a huge contributing factor. I did not like my opportunities there.
Secondly, as the commissioner of this new league I felt like drafting number 1 overall would be a great way to start the draft process as well as the season as a whole.
Finally, I like changing things up.
The challenge is omnipresent, but I welcome it. This is the time of year when I prove why I am one of the best owners/managers/coach in fantasy.
