The Championship Game

There was once a dream that was TPD. It was so fragile you could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish.

In 2016, TPD rose from the ashes of his layered past and soared to heights previously unknown. The theme of that season rang loud and true all year, as the weight of its purpose carried his franchise through thick and thin, and now TPD prepares for the final crescendo. For the 3rd straight year, TPD has traversed the labyrinth that is the MFFL, through poor circumstance and turmoil, and has come out clean on the other side, playing for it all in the 2025 MFFL Championship. The dream was realized in the form of a magical 3peat not soon forgotten. Such unimaginable dreams parade the thoughts of TPD once more. TPD is tired of finishing 2nd, which he has done three out of the last four years. He reaches once for golden coronation. The poor circumstances of old and of this season prove only one thing. That history is about to repeat itself.

TPD's run to the final duel was orchestrated by last week's remarkable comeback win on Monday Night Football. The catalyst for the victory was TPD's elite game day managing. A skill he has put on full display time and time again. It gives him confidence this week. He will look to the elite moves of old. Nobody makes decisions like TPD. He can make GOAT decisions in the most important moments. For the championship, TPD will unleash the full power of his strength. What was once achieved, then etched in stone, and finally cast in gold, will come again. TPD will shine on. He has walked there and seen the light. It is memory precious and pure. If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule.

The starting lineup will look much different than a week ago, again. More on Joe Burrow later. TPD has decisions to make at WR. All 5 of TPD's WRs are jockeying for just 2 starting spots. Nico will likely be benched in a tough match-up. London should have a bounce back on Monday night, giving TPD one hell of a final bullet in the chamber. Evans has a dream match-up at Miami. Wilson and BTJ are in smash spots, but with less certain roles. TPD knows explosions are coming from that position group. He just has to make the right choices. BTJ exploding in the ship, after such a poor year, would be the ultimate TPD irony and beast managing. The RBs are also strong entering the all important finale. Cook has been TPD's best player. He will carry him to the promise land, as was fore-told. Hampton may be thrust back into a lead back role. A position he smashed in earlier in the season. Taylor is likely saving his best performance for last. There is certainly more left in the tank. McBride will explode after his first down performance of the season a week ago. Going up against the Bengals, there is no telling how many points he could score.

The playoff run has felt like a dream. TPD has had a calm confidence about him for weeks. He knows what this team is about to do. Soon the league will find out. He is an embattled dreamer. Coursing through his veins is nostalgia and reverence. He has seen it all. Grinding all his life in this league. It is the grind that propels him now. No matter the circumstance, he will not give up. He is too hardened. You know of what I speak. It is the NASTY. At TPD's side for so long, it will never betray him. It will attack its opponent with reckless abandon. The time is now. For what is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger. If you got beef then bring the ruckus, TPD ain't no-one to mess with. You down with TPD? Yeah, you know me.

Player Profile: Joe Burrow
TPD and Burrow have had a complicated relationship. TPD has seen Burrow at his best and worst, and has been unafraid to challenge the emotional warrior. Burrow has in turn burdened TPD with rage inducing performances. Simply put, when Burrow starts, he bombs, but when on TPD's bench, he smashes. But all that changes this week. For everything both of these dreamers have been through, this week they draw swords together. They will put the past behind them and accomplish something truly special, together. Now is the hour. Draw ranks and banners. Sound the TPD horn in the deep one last time. Now for rath, and for ruin, and the red dawn. NASTYYYYYY!

Week 16 Press Release (Semi-Final Edition)

 The Peaking Dynasty vs ShowMeYourTDs

Don't let the embarrassing loss ruin Mike Evans' awesome night against Falcons

Date: December 21, 2025
Time: 1:00pm
Place: Tight Grip Palace

Starting Lineup:
QB: Jacoby Brissett
WR: Drake London
WR: Nico Collins
RB: Jonathan Taylor
RB: James Cook III
TE: Trey McBride
FLEX: Mike Evans
K: Chase McLaughlin
DEF: New Orleans

Through it all, TPD fights. His fight was displayed a week ago, when against all odds, he smashed his way into the final four. The team had bad match-ups everywhere, and TPD threw down 170 points. This, when his QB accounted for a single point. All the positioning, the waiting, and game day managing, led to that moment. TPD put the entire league on notice. And now, the match-ups are clearer. TPD has multiple options at his disposal. Get your popcorn ready.

The lineup for this week could look completely different than a week ago. QB, WR, Flex, and Def could all have different players. Joe Burrow will almost certainly hit the bench, after such a disinterested and pathetic performance in the quarterfinal. TPD has a decision to make between Brissett and Purdy, both of whom are in smash spots. London could return to the lineup this week. TPD will have to weigh whether or not to start him in his first game back from injury. If MHJ returns for the Cardinals, Wilson will almost certainly be put on TPD's bench. Nico is ready to roll, while Evans could be a true game changer in TPD's flex. McBride is out for history, after cooking the best defense in the league a week ago. TPD hopes Taylor will finally have a smash game, after so many average performances down the stretch. Cook carried TPD a week ago. He's been unleashed since hitting TPD's roster. Ballers from last week, Kittle, Henderson, and Thomas, could all be on the bench this week. It is an insane amount of depth, considering how late in the year it is. The one question is going to be, will TPD make the right lineup decisions.

The NASTY is always making the right decisions, and making quick disposals his it's opponents. What a glorious afternoon it was a week ago. TPD will now have to travel on the road for another feast. Everything has been building for this moment. TPD is peaking at the perfect moment. You know what they awoke in the darkness...shadow and flame.

Player Profile: Mike Evans
Evans could not have played better in a game returning from injury. He played so well, it will be tough to keep him out of TPD's lineup. He is a winner. He has won championships for TPD in the past, and defeated him in the ship a year ago. The future Hall of Famer is the keystone. He unlocks the potential of TPD's roster. He will be the light when all other's go out. It is time. NASTY.
